- When the VAT Return has the status Submitted the Calculate and Post VAT Settlement action is enabled, proceed to select it to post the VAT settlement in the general ledger and close the VAT Period.
Note
All VAT Statement Lines to be reported must have the correct Box No., lines without Box No. will not be added on the VAT Return.
Tip
We recommend that you always use the Calculate and Post VAT Settlement action to post the VAT to the settlement account, instead of doing it manually. The Calculate and Post VAT Settlement action closes the VAT transactions and makes it easier to see and report transactions that are posted in a previous (closed) VAT period.
Note
Both workflows show which functions are included in the standard Dynamics 365 Business Central and what is specific to Smart Swedish VAT.
